THISD
THISD is a new not-for-profit Association of multi-disciplinary professionals who are committed to the principle of hospitality and tourism sustainability and ‘moving the sustainability agenda forward’.
These professionals have extensive experience in higher education and training, as
well as an in-depth knowledge of sustainability concepts important to both tourism
and hospitality. THISD member expertise include tourism and hospitality planning,
marketing, law, engineering, architecture, research, quality assessment,
environmental science, accounting and finance, consulting in sustainable tourism and
related areas.
THISD also serves as the education and training arm of the La Paz group, a
successful boutique consultancy specializing in sustainable development, strategic
management and innovative marketing of tourism destinations and attractions.
Our specializations include the delivery of education and training modules associated
with tourism and hospitality sustainability and that can be customized to meet client
needs.
THISD is based in Lausanne, Switzerland but anticipates building membership globally where its services meet individual and organizational needs. (See membership page). THISD will also develop graduate school chapters in institutions of higher education sponsoring research in topics related to our Mission.
