Student research project
The long-term objective of the Student Scholarship Committee is to use reward driven competition and online publication as tools to drive student based research in tourism sustainability. Increasing awareness of this topic by future Industry leaders is essential and consistent with our Mission.
Competition guidelines are currently being developed to structure the annual competition program that will first be tested in Europe before going Global. Industry support for financing the competition is required and will offer excellent PR opportunities for a Global tourism or hospitality organization. Efforts to obtain sponsorship are targeted for autumn 2008.
All qualified student research paper submissions will be posted on the THISD web site with special recognition given to annual reward winners. It is anticipated that student award recognition will be linked to one of the major Industry Annual Conferences that include Green award schemes.
